How will I be notified of a Safety Recall?
If your vehicle is subject to a safety recall, the manufacturer will write to inform you. This letter will come to us in the first instance and we will forward it on to you, so that you can take the appropriate action. We will continue to send you reminders until this is complete.
How can I book my vehicle in for a safety recall?
If your contract includes maintenance please call your DriverLine to make the booking. If you do not know your DriverLine number please call 0344 493 7644. If you arrange your own maintenance, please book your vehicle in with your nearest manufacturer approved dealer. To locate your nearest dealer you can visit the manufacturer website.
Can I book my car in for a safety recall if I have heard about it but have not yet had official notification?
You should contact a dealership for the specific manufacturer and they will advise you.
Once a safety recall has been completed is there anything I need to do?
Yes. Please tear off the completed slip on the notification letter that you received and send it back to us to let us know that the work has been completed. This allows us to update our records and to stop sending out reminders to you.
