LeasePlan wins award02 October 2009 LEASEPLAN WINS LEASING COMPANY OF THE YEAR AWARD LeasePlan UK Ltd took home the 'leasing company of the year' award at the GreenFleet Awards, held at Guildhall, London last week. The awards evening recognised the most successful green initiatives and products in an industry increasingly concerned with its environmental impact. The awards were judged by representatives from the Institute of Car Fleet Management, the Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership and GreenFleet magazine. The leasing category was hotly contested, with Arval, Lex Autolease, Hitachi Capital and Inchcape Fleet Solutions also making it through to the shortlist. TV motoring personality Tiff Needell (Fifth Gear) announced LeasePlan as the winner of the award. LeasePlan won on the strength of its commitment to finding green solutions for its customers over a number of years. The company was amongst the first in the market to offer an environmentally focussed leasing product; GreenPlan. Since its introduction, the product has developed as the green landscape has shifted and become augmented by a number of management solutions geared towards creating the greenest fleets possible.
